We currently seek a part-time Data Entry Specialist, to join our Data Analytics team! The Data Entry Specialist plays a pivotal role in the data operations and reporting for the program(s) that fund their positions. Positioned within the Data Analytics department, the Data Entry Specialist works collaboratively with direct service staff to organize the program’s service documentation and enter that information into the program’s data system(s) for use in reports, invoices, and/or analysis. The Data Entry Specialist provides operational guidance to program staff based on the data entered, and assists program staff in documenting data entry procedures in a manner compliant with funder expectations. This supports and ensures that all activity is captured accurately and complies with funder expectations and Osborne standards.
This position has a hybrid schedule reporting 19 hours weekly and is expected to report out of our Newburgh, NY office. This person must be willing to travel to our Newburgh office as needed by the program. Hybrid schedules are subject to change with or without notice.
Salary: $26.00 per hour
Requirements
Essential Duties:
- Prepares data for computer entry by verifying all necessary data acquired by front-line staff is reported accurately and completely.
- Actively participates in the quality assurance process and corrects data where necessary.
- Enters data from source documents into a prescribed computer database and regularly updates and deletes files.
- Trains program and administrative staff on proper documentation and data entry procedures.
- Assists program staff in maintaining policies and procedures, and documents procedures for proper documentation and data entry.
- Coordinates with program staff to determine procedures for shared administrative tasks.
- Organizes and files documentations weekly to prepare for billing and reporting.
- Responds to requests for information, and accesses relevant data sources.
- Supports the audit process, including internal audits and those by Osborne’s public and private funders.
- Maintains positive working relationships with funders and accurately interprets Osborne’s mission, performance, and challenges.
- Supports program’s operations as needed, and maintains strong, positive relationships with program staff.
- In-Person attendance is required to collaborate with others.
- Perform Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- One year of professional experience in a human service organization is preferred.
- Experience in data entry is preferred.
- Ability to work in correctional facilities on occasion, as needed
Key Competencies:
- Must be deadline-driven and analytical.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail are required.
- Ability to travel locally if needed between Osborne Offices and correctional facilities
- Must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated customer service orientation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Salesforce experience is a plus
- Data entry experience preferred
- Demonstrate the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work with a team
- Excellent time management
- Desire to work in criminal justice is a plus
