Summary:
The Order Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately processing customer orders and delivering exceptional service across multiple communication channels. This role involves reviewing and entering complex orders into an SAP system, with a daily goal of processing 20+ orders while simultaneously managing customer inquiries via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Accurately reviewing and entering customer orders into the system, ensuring completeness and correctness.
- Following up on any order discrepancies or missing information in a timely manner.
- Responding to customer, vendor, and internal team inquiries with professionalism and clarity.
- Handling inbound phone calls, emails, and occasional walk-in visitors to ensure a positive and professional interaction with the company.
- Collaborating with team members to provide coverage during absences and breaks, ensuring continuity of service and accuracy of daily operations.
- Performing receptionist duties on a rotational basis, including greeting guests, answering and directing calls, sending invoices, managing invoicing paperwork, and maintaining tidy conference rooms.
This position requires excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills, along with strong attention to detail and a customer-focused attitude. Experience with SAP and comfort working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment are essential for success. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and additional post-secondary education is preferred. Previous order entry experience in an office environment is required. This is not a remote position.
