Shared Services – Hospital Records Retrieval Clerk

The Hospital Records Retrieval Clerk works within the Shared Services Team to obtain the needed Hospital records to facility timely and accurate claim processing and appeals.
Essential Functions/Duties
· Obtains information to request records from hospital facilities
· Faxes accurate request for records to hospital
· Identifies accounts needing hospital records requested
· Follows up on records request until records are obtained
· Ensures records are documented in account and ready for next process
· Other duties as assigned
Hours/Work Schedule:
· Training Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm CST
o Position Schedule Post Training: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm CST
Qualifications:
Required Experience
· 6 months data entry experience
· Basic computer skills – including basic Microsoft word and excel
· Experience with downloading documents from websites and accessing documents downloaded
Preferred Experience:
· 6 months records retrieval experience
· Experience with Respond Billing / Sweet
Education
· High school diploma or equivalent
Skills:
· Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
· Ability to follow multiple step processes
· Ability to gather data, compile information, and apply data entry steps accurately to account
