JOB SUMMARY
The Medical Billing – Claim Prep and File – Government Billing Representative prepares a patient account for claim filing by doing initial review and prep (signature validation, payor requirements) and moves the account for any additional steps needed to file a claim with the insurance company.
HOURS/WORK SCHEDULE:
· During training, M-F 8AM-5PM.
· After release from training, Flex hours M-F 7AM-7PM

· Provide Excellent Customer Service
· Manage claim filing

· Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience
· Minimum of one (1) year in medical billing office
· Ability to work Independently or as an active member of a team
· Knowledge and experience of computers and related technology, at an intermediate level
· Customer focus and adaptability to different personality types
· Must possess empathetic and professional written and verbal communication skills
· Proficient in Word, Excel, Office 365
Education:
· High School diploma or equivalent
Skills:
· Ability to define and identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
· Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information
· Ability to multi-task, set priorities and manage time effectively
