About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Salesforce Intern to join our Business Operations & Technology team at Urban Electric Power. As an intern, you’ll help optimize and enhance our Salesforce platform to support sales, operations, and customer engagement. You’ll gain hands-on experience configuring workflows, building reports, and supporting cross-departmental projects that improve how our teams use data and automation.
This is a paid internship, offering an hourly rate between $25 and $32, depending on your experience and availability.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the configuration and maintenance of Salesforce objects, fields, and workflows to support business processes
- Build and update reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for sales, operations, and management teams
- Support data cleanup, migration, and validation activities to maintain CRM data accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with end-users to gather requirements and troubleshoot system issues
- Participate in testing new features, integrations, and updates to ensure smooth implementation
- Help document system changes and create training materials for new users
- Contribute ideas for automation and process improvements within the Salesforce ecosystem
- Attend team meetings, participate in mentorship sessions, and share progress on assigned projects
- Currently pursuing (or recently completed) a degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field
- Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce (Trailhead modules or certification a plus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Basic understanding of data management, workflow automation, and reporting tools
- Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets; experience with SQL, Python, or BI tools is a plus
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid or remote environment
