About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Insurance Specialist to join our team. This entry-level position is perfect for individuals interested in starting a career in the insurance industry. As an Insurance Specialist, you will assist with processing insurance claims, verifying coverage, managing client information, and providing support to both customers and internal teams. You will play a critical role in ensuring that clients' insurance needs are met efficiently and accurately.
No prior insurance experience or degree is required—this role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, enjoys problem-solving, and has strong communication and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Insurance Verification: Assist in verifying client insurance coverage and benefits, ensuring accurate information is recorded and maintained in the system.
- Claims Processing: Help process insurance claims by collecting necessary documents, verifying the details, and submitting claims to insurance carriers for approval.
- Client Support: Respond to customer inquiries regarding their insurance policies, coverage details, claims status, and any other insurance-related questions. Provide clear and accurate information to help clients understand their benefits.
- Policy Management: Assist in reviewing, updating, and maintaining client insurance policies, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of client interactions, claims, and policy changes. Ensure proper documentation is provided for all processes, in compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
- Problem Resolution: Address issues such as claim denials, billing errors, or coverage discrepancies, working with clients and insurance carriers to resolve them quickly and professionally.
- Compliance & Regulation: Ensure that all insurance-related activities comply with legal regulations and company policies. Stay informed about industry standards and any changes to insurance laws and regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including underwriting, claims, and customer service, to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer experiences.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- No prior insurance experience is necessary—training will be provided.
- Customer service or administrative experience is a plus but not required.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, or CRM systems).
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to insurance systems, processes, and software.
