Flight Respiratory Therapist
AirMed International is hiring a Flight Respiratory Therapist (Flight RT) who is primarily responsible for independently providing direct patient care in accordance with Global Medical Response protocols and/or medical direction.
- IMMEDIATELY HIRING!
- $400/day for fulfillment of flight days/transports (off day pay) after 3 transports performed in
14 day rotation. Floating Fleet position that requires away from home 14 days on / 14 days off - Starting Pay $55k
Responsibilities:
- Use a systematic, critical-thinking approach to guide patient assessment, intervention, and evaluation of patient outcomes
- Maintain clinical competence and continuing education for age specific populations in which care is provided
- Collaboratively assess, provide, and evaluate patient care within the aircraft, airport, commercial airline, ground ambulance or within the hospital or clinic setting for assigned patients while effectively communicating with various health care members
- Attend and participate in base meetings and educational offerings according to established guidelines
- Execute assigned tasks in an efficient manner and perform in a fast-paced environment
- Comply with safety standards to assure safety of self, medical and flight personnel, patient, and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy - Bachelor of Science Degree preferred
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) and licensed as a Respiratory Therapist (RT) with the primary state of practice
- Minimum of (3) three years, preferred five (5) yerars, of recent experience in adult/neonatal/pediatric critical and/or acute care setting. (Recent is less than 6 months' bedside experience lapse)
- Current American Heart Association certifications – BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Current Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Provider – or should be obtained within 30 days of hire
- Transport Provider Advanced Trauma Course (TPATC) preferred – or should be obtained within 1 year of hire date
- Advanced Certification (ACCS or NPS) preferred – or should be obtained within 2 years of hire date
- Current passport
- Current driver's license
