Clean Power Alliance (CPA) is Southern California’s locally operated not-for-profit default electricity provider for 38 communities within Los Angeles and Ventura counties and the 4th largest electricity provider in the State of California. We provide clean renewable energy at competitive rates to over three million residents and businesses through approximately one million customer accounts.
What You’ll Do
CPA is seeking a creative, detail-oriented professional to join our growing Communications and Marketing team as an Associate, Integrated Marketing. This role assists with campaigns across both digital and traditional channels—including social media, email, website content, radio, advertising, and direct mail. The Associate will contribute to communications initiatives that support community engagement, customer education, external messaging, and customer retention. In collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, the Associate, Integrated Marketing will assist with content development, research, and analysis to help strengthen CPA’s brand visibility and outreach.

The Associate, Integrated Marketing reports to the Senior Associate, Communications and Marketing. You will work closely with the Communications and Marketing team and collaborate teams including but not limited to Customer Care, Customer Programs, and Load Forecasting.

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools, or related software.

- Experience with Google analytics, social media, and media monitoring analytics.
- Strong understanding and practice of translating complex topics into engaging and informative content.
- Proficient with data visualization tools and software (i.e., Tableau, Power BI) preferred.
- Experience with MailChimp, Survey Monkey, and Sales Force preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Project Management: Responsible for the planning and execution of specialty marketing campaigns to promote CPA’s customer engagement, education, and program enrollment initiatives. Contribute to the development of multicultural and in-language campaigns to effectively reach diverse communities. Assist with coordinating paid media efforts across channels such as out-of-home, radio, and social media, as well as direct-to-consumer channels including direct mail, email, and website landing pages.
- Program Engagement and Customer Education: Responsible for the development and production of marketing materials to promote CPA programs and overall brand. Create educational resources that help customers understand program benefits, eligibility requirements, and application processes. Coordinate with the Customer Programs team to ensure marketing materials accurately reflect program goals and customer benefits.
- Campaign Management and Optimization: Responsible for the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns by contributing to audience identification, channel selection, and messaging strategy. Apply independent judgment to assess target audiences, recommend effective outreach approaches, and develop campaign briefs that guide internal teams and external agencies. Assist in managing campaign budgets by evaluating performance against expectations and recommending adjustments to media mix and spend allocation (e.g., digital, direct mail, radio) to improve results.
- Strategic Analysis and Reporting: Analyze campaign performance and engagement metrics to evaluate effectiveness and inform marketing strategies. Interpret campaign, website, and performance data to identify trends, insights, and areas for optimization that impact customer engagement and program outcomes. Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to communicate performance insights to internal teams and senior management. Provide data-driven recommendations to recommend campaign optimizations, including adjustments to targeting, messaging, channel mix, and budget allocation, as well as identifying when to scale or discontinue underperforming efforts.
- Community and Stakeholder Engagement: Provide support for community and customer engagement initiatives, including radio remotes, workshops, conferences, and experiential activations. Assist in maintaining relationships with community partners and stakeholders to help enhance outreach efforts.
- Continuous Improvement: Create, enhance, document, and recommend continuous improvement initiatives across communications, customer outreach, marketing campaigns, and media efforts. Responsible for issue resolution for active campaigns, including monitoring customer experience and digital engagement, identifying issues, and proposing solutions to senior leadership, that enable the team to scale and improve.

Qualifications
- Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field preferred.
- A minimum of three years of relevant work experience required
- Experience developing or supporting multicultural, multilingual, or culturally responsive marketing and community engagement efforts preferred
Work Location
This position is eligible for either Hybrid or Remote options. The Hybrid option requires attendance in our Downtown Los Angeles office on a full-time basis 2- 3 days per week on days determined by CPA, with work location on the remaining days either in office or remote. This includes a transportation allowance. The Remote option requires you to be available to attend full-time in office days and/or field events within Los Angeles and Ventura Counties in accordance with the needs of the company that may start as early as 8:30am at least 2 days per week. The Remote & Hybrid options require full-time in-person attendance at organization or team-wide events 3 times per year for 3-5 days per event. All staff are required to work during CPA’s office hours Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm PST.
The salary range for this position is $90,743.24-$136,114.86, with exact compensation to be determined by Clean Power Alliance, dependent on experience. Benefits include health care, a 401(k)-like match program, paid vacation, and sick leave. This is not a civil service position; however, all CPA employees are required to submit a Statement of Economic Interests form, also known as the Form 700.
