Job Summary: The Vice President of Clinical Services (VPCS) is the highest clinical leader in the organization and a key member of the executive leadership team. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for all clinical services across a growing network of autism centers in Tennessee and Kentucky.
The VPCS is responsible for ensuring clinical excellence, developing and scaling high-performing clinical teams, and establishing clinical policies and procedures that support quality care, compliance, and sustainable growth. This position will play a critical role in expanding the organization by opening 2+ new centers annually, while maintaining a strong, values-driven clinical culture.
This is a remote role with expectations for quarterly on-site visits to centers and regular engagement with clinical leaders and teams.
Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Excellence
- Serve as the highest clinical authority within the organization.
- Establish, implement, and continuously improve clinical standards of care.
- Ensure clinical quality, ethical practice, and compliance with all regulatory and payer requirements.
- Oversee clinical outcomes, data-driven decision making, and quality improvement initiatives.
Clinical Team Development & Oversight
- Lead the recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention of clinical leaders and providers.
- Build scalable clinical leadership structures to support multi-site growth.
- Provide mentorship, supervision frameworks, and professional development pathways for BCBAs and clinical leadership.
- Foster a strong, mission-driven clinical culture focused on excellence and collaboration.
Growth & Expansion
- Partner with executive leadership to support new center openings (2+ per year).
- Design scalable clinical staffing models for new and existing centers.
- Ensure clinical readiness and operational alignment during expansion.
- Support market growth through clinical expertise and strategic planning.
Clinical Operations & Policy Development
- Develop, standardize, and maintain clinical policies, procedures, and documentation practices.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, compliance, and finance.
- Ensure consistency of care delivery across all locations while allowing for local needs.
- Support payer relationships and audits as the senior clinical representative.
Executive Partnership
- Act as a strategic thought partner to the CEO and executive team.
- Provide clinical insight into business strategy, growth decisions, and organizational priorities.
- Represent the organization externally as a clinical leader when appropriate.
Required:
- BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) in good standing; advanced clinical degree strongly preferred.
- Significant leadership experience in autism or behavioral health services.
- Proven success leading multi-site clinical teams.
- Experience scaling clinical operations in a growth-stage organization.
- Strong understanding of ABA service delivery, compliance, and quality assurance.
- Ability to work remotely with periodic travel (quarterly minimum).
Preferred:
- Experience opening new autism centers or programs.
- Prior executive or senior director-level leadership experience.
- Experience in Tennessee and/or Kentucky markets.
- Strong change management and organizational development skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Flexibility to occasionally adjust work hours to meet organizational needs.
- Ability to lift or push us to 30 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform prolonged computer-based work as needed.
- Quarterly travel to regional centers for 3-4 days, with additional travel as needed for audits, support, and new center openings.
