Salary Range - $65,000 - $75,000
Location - Remote (Must reside in the US)
The WordPress Developer works to build outstanding web experiences and help drives the development of innovative technical solutions that exceed client expectations. This role requires an eye for design and an ability to communicate effectively and plays an active role in the future roadmap of the web technology stack at Tara Media Strategies. They are responsible for the development of website deliverables, in addition to ongoing client support on web development best practices. This role requires curiosity and quickly learning and mastering skills in new technologies. This role reports to the Creative Director.
Responsibilities:
- Build and customize WordPress websites using Elementor from provided design files.
- Implement responsive, mobile-friendly designs.
- Manage and configure WordPress themes, templates, and page layouts.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot essential plugins and integrations.
- Configure hosting environments.
- Perform DNS updates.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to translate design concepts into functional websites.
- Ensure site performance, security, and basic SEO best practices.
- Provide ongoing website maintenance and content updates as needed.
- Assist in integrating web accessibility standards into our website portfolios.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience as a WordPress developer, with a core focus on front-end technologies.
- Ability to accurately translate provided designs into functional WordPress pages.
- Basic understanding of web hosting and DNS management.
- Ability to troubleshoot common WordPress and hosting issues.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Good communication skills for collaborating with non-technical stakeholders.
- Previous agency experience not required, but a plus.
- Comfortable with project management and collaboration software, such as Airtable, JIRA, Wrike etc. Good to have, but not required.
