As a remote Pediatric Patient Coordinator (Authorization Specialist), you’ll play a key role in helping families access vital therapy services by managing insurance authorizations, scheduling, and patient communication.
This is a full-time work-from-home position supporting multiple H2 Health Kids outpatient clinics across Texas.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for pediatric patients and families
- Verify insurance benefits, process referrals, and obtain authorizations for therapy services
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the EMR system
- Schedule and coordinate appointments across multiple clinic locations
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and support administrative workflow
- Collaborate closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a smooth patient experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Prior experience in healthcare administration or billing preferred
Experience with insurance verification and authorizations strongly desired
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency with basic computer systems and EMR platforms
Ability to manage time independently in a remote work environment
