Summary
As a public and profitable company, we have ambitious plans to scale our impact across the healthcare ecosystem. We’re looking for an EMR / EHR Technical Analyst to join our EMR Operations and Integrations team and help define and support the EMR integrations that support our customers.
This role sits in the Engineering Organization and collaborates closely with engineers, product managers, and implementation leads. As an EMR Technical Analyst, you’ll serve as a subject-matter expert in in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) / EHR (Electronic Health Records) integrations. You’ll define and maintain interface standards, troubleshoot issues, and ensure consistent, reliable connectivity between our internal systems and our provider clients using platforms like Epic, Cerner, and Redox.
The ideal candidate has strong technical intuition, excellent communication skills, and hands-on experience working with healthcare data and interoperability standards. Job Responsibilities
- Design, test, and maintain robust EMR integrations using HL7, FHIR, and API-based protocols
- Develop and maintain well-documented interface specifications, validation frameworks, and testing strategies
- Troubleshoot integration issues, including payload errors, data mapping discrepancies, and connectivity problems
- Work closely with software engineers to scope feature needs and validate implementations
- Support customer onboarding by defining integration requirements and validating technical readiness
- Help plan and execute migrations off legacy integrations, in collaboration with Engineering and Customer Implementation teams
- Maintain a high standard of documentation, reproducibility, and knowledge sharing across the team
- Collaborate with enterprise implementation, product, and support teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of EMR connectivity
Education, Experience, and Skills
- 3+ years working with healthcare interfaces, including HL7, FHIR, or Redox
- Strong ability to read, debug, and validate structured data formats such as HL7 v2, JSON, XML
- Familiarity with EMR platforms (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and their integration capabilities
- Hands-on experience with interface engines (e.g., Redox, Corepoint, Rhapsody)
- Comfort navigating technical discussions with engineers and non-engineers
- Attention to detail, especially in creating reproducible testing workflows and clear documentation
- Ability to work independently and drive projects forward in a collaborative, distributed environment
- Bonus:
- Experience with laboratory systems, healthcare operations, or customer onboarding processes
- Software development knowledge (e.g. Python, Javascript, or other)
