Role Overview:
Specialist is responsible for managing the implementation of electronic interfaces with New York Life clients in support of Life, Accident, Disability, Family Medical Leave products and various services. Direct client/TPA engagement. Must be able to lead conference calls. Gather client/TPA requirements as they relate to the specific type of feed: eligibility, billing, enrollment, etc. Balance New York Life standards regarding layout, data and transmission with the client's needs. Provide consultative solutions. Manage interfaces in coherence with project plan. Work with internal partners IT, eCommerce, Family Medical Leave Operations, etc. Define requirements and drive accountability regarding deadlines. Provide a positive client experience with New York Life.
What You'll Do:
Integrate with TPAs in support of eligibility/enrollment/remittance data for business sold "on-and-off" Exchanges.
Implement all interfaces based on established timelines.
Review test data and provide appropriate feedback to client/TPA to ensure quality data is implemented.
Provide consultative solutions to our clients and internal business partners as necessary based on requirements gathering.
Prepare documentation which confirmations method of data exchange between New York Life and client/TPA.
Partner with eCommerce to ensure successful receipt and processing of data.
Monitor on-going client activity and consult with client/TPA and/or Account Management.
Articulate programming logic to IT on file mapping and merging requirements.
Develop and deliver operational ad-hoc reporting accurately and in timely manner.
Trouble-shoot and diagnose issues related to electronic data being exchanged by our clients.
Track case status to ensure metrics are being reported accurately.
Develop and maintain support documentation.
What you'll bring:
Bachelor's Degree strongly preferred or other relevant 3 years work experience is required.
Prior experience working with clients, producers, and/or TPA's preferred.
Strong product knowledge preferred.
Strong planning and project management skills preferred.
Demonstrated proficient/advanced skill in Microsoft Excel (vlook up, pivot table, and macro) and Access required.
Proficient in handling XML, TXT, and CSV file formats, with expertise in using tools such as Visual Studio Code, Notepad++, and XML Spy.
Excellent organization skills to be able to multi-task and meet increasingly tight deadlines required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Demonstrated ability to drive results required.
Have the ability to work independently and collaborate with internal business partners required.

Pay Transparency
Salary range: $60,000-$90,000
Overtime eligible: Exempt
Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes
Sales bonus eligible: No
Actual base salary will be determined based on several factors but not limited to individual's experience, skills, qualifications, and job location. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition to base salary, employees may also be eligible to participate in an incentive program.
