POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Generalist to join our team and support HR operations in a fast-paced wholesale data center environment. This role will be responsible for handling a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and performance management. The ideal candidate will have experience in HR within technical or industrial settings and a strong understanding of the unique workforce needs in a data center environment. Remote, preference to being located in or near Dallas, Chicago, Phoenix, San Antonio, Atlanta.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and source top talent for data center operations, facilities, IT, and administrative roles.
- Assist with the full-cycle recruitment process, including screening candidates, coordinating interviews, and facilitating background checks.
- Support onboarding programs to ensure new employees integrate smoothly into the organization.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as a trusted resource for employees and managers, addressing concerns and resolving workplace issues in alignment with company policies.
- Promote a positive work culture by promoting initiatives of the People Experience Team.
- Assist with scheduling and coordination of meetings regarding employee engagement initiatives.
HR Compliance & Administration
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies, particularly in highly regulated data center environments.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation in accordance with company and legal standards.
- Assist in audits and reporting related to HR metrics, safety compliance, and labor laws.
- Act as a point of contact to address HR related questions from staff and management.
- Input changes and helps maintain the integrity of HRIS system.
Performance Management & Training
- Support Talent Management in performance review cycles, including goal setting, evaluations, and performance improvement plans.
Compensation & Benefits Administration
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, questions, and issue resolution.
- Partner with finance and HR leadership to ensure accurate payroll processing and compensation reviews.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Multi state HR experience preferably in at least one of the following California, New York, Illinois.
- Experience working for an organization that has a mix of exempt and nonexempt population.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Familiarity with employment laws and regulations
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to function and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- HR business acumen – ability to diagnose problems and identify and drive appropriate solutions
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, related field, or equivalent experience.
2-5 years of HR generalist experience, preferably in data centers, technology, or industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of employment laws, OSHA regulations, and HR best practices.
Experience with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-security work environment.
The pay range for this role is between $65,000- $85,000 (base). Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, location, and other job-related reasons.
