We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist who will be responsible for managing and processing the company's bills and expenses. This role involves repetitive tasks, including checking invoices for accuracy, processing and setting up invoices for payment, and ensuring all payments are met on time and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Check invoices for accuracy and completeness
- Process invoices: sort, code, and match invoices, set them up for payment, and enter/upload them into the system
- Prepare and process accounts payable checks
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date
- Produce reports
- Track expenses
- Resolve issues related to accounts payable
Essential Skills
- Experience in accounts payables
- Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist/Clerk
- High attention to detail
- Comfortable doing repetitive tasks
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Preferred experience in accounts payable over accounts receivable
- Accounting experience
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and formulas
Work Environment
This position is fully remote, with a preference for candidates residing in the metro-Detroit or metro-Chicago areas. The working hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm EST. The pay range for this position is $19.23 - $22.00
