Location Status: Work will be primarily performed remotely from home office. Employee will be required to utilize personal phone and internet services to perform telecommuting with reimbursement according to applicable procedures. Occasional travel to and work from other Race offices or off-site locations may be required.

Summary:
The Community Development Administrator acts as the primary liaison between Outside Plant (OSP) teams, engineering and construction. This role supports the alignment of project objectives, timelines, and communication flow, ensuring cohesive execution across departments. The Administrator facilitates information-sharing between OSP engineers and construction to resolve site issues and address project demands, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and engaged. This role is essential in fostering strong community relationships, supporting local permitting processes, and ensuring smooth project implementation.
This individual should be able to communicate and work effectively with external service representatives and internal team members who possess a wide variety of backgrounds, personalities, and communication skills. This individual should be able to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving environment while maintaining a productive professional demeanor. This individual must be capable of working independently, as well as collaboratively with other Race team members across teams and levels of our organization.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Eligibility for US Employment without sponsorship
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- Minimum of one year experience in community engagement, customer service, public relations, or a related field, ideally with some experience in telecommunications, utilities, or construction preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience in telecommunications preferred
- Familiarity with OSP, fiber networks, and field operations is preferred
- The ability to effectively communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension, as necessary for effective job performance and workplace communication
- Proficiency in Spanish Language desirable

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Communication & Coordination
- Serves as a central contact for communication between OSP teams and field staff, ensuring clear project alignment and timely updates
- Collaborate with local government, utility companies, and other entities to streamline community-related project needs
Project Monitoring & Support
- Tracks project milestones, anticipate challenges, and proactively communicate solutions to all involved parties
- Monitor project timelines and progress to ensure alignment with company objectives, field requirements, internal support resolution and community expectations
- Coordinate with internal teams to address field concerns and manage project milestones, timelines, and resource allocation
- Support the OSP and field teams by organizing and facilitating meetings to address challenges and identify solutions for timely project completion
Data Tracking and Reporting:
- Track project progress, record milestones, and compile reports to share with internal stakeholders and community partners
- Prepare and distribute weekly or monthly reports summarizing project activities, field challenges, and community engagement efforts
- Maintain databases of community and project interactions to support continuous improvement and performance tracking
Administrative Support:
- Manages administrative tasks related to community outreach, permitting, and project coordination, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting notes
- Supports field teams with necessary documentation and ensure timely communication of project changes or updates
- Handles and organizes all documentation associated with permits, stakeholder communications, and project status updates
Other duties as necessary may include but are not limited to:
- Follows OSP team procedures and guidelines, along with policies outlined in the Race Communications Employee Handbook
- Successfully complete assigned training and examinations, as well as participate in ongoing performance and development reviews, and goal setting
- Be available to participate in internal or external meetings, special functions, and professional development opportunities
- Cross-train and share knowledge with other team members
- Support routine tasks

All new employees will participate in the mandatory 'Speedway to Success' (Speedway) orientation at one our offices. The duration of the Speedway program spans from 1-3 weeks, depending on the position. During Speedway the schedule will vary; you may not work full 8-hour days and there may be off days.
