Job Overview
DMV IT Service requires the services of a Systems Analyst 3 who meets the qualifications for Applications/Software Development and aligns with the specifications outlined in this position.
The selected candidate will:
- Understand business objectives and problems, identify alternative solutions, and perform studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives.
- Analyze user requirements, procedures, and challenges to automate processes or improve existing computer systems.
- Collaborate with personnel from various organizational units to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and gather specific input and output requirements, such as data input forms, summary data, and report formats.
- Write detailed descriptions of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer programs.
- Review computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine feasibility for requested programs or program changes within existing systems.
8 years of experience identifying problems/issues, analyzing alternatives, and recommending/implementing effective solutions.
8 years of experience providing Windows and Linux operating system and application support.
8 years of experience with high-level knowledge of network facilities, data processing techniques, computer hardware and software, network operating systems, security software, performance monitoring, and capacity management tools.
8 years of experience orchestrating calls, including project kick-offs, critical findings notifications during testing, and close-out reviews of test findings, evidence, process steps to reproduce, and remediation recommendations.
8 years of experience preparing concise written reports appropriate for various audiences.
8 years of experience implementing security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data.
8 years of experience ensuring networks have adequate security to prevent unauthorized access and maintaining up-to-date security systems with software and hardware changes.
8 years of experience performing proactive research on new threats, vulnerabilities, and exploits, and ensuring the safety of information systems assets.
8 years of experience working with and implementing NIST 800-37, NIST 800-53, MARS-E controls, POA&Ms, and developing Corrective Action Plans.
8 years of experience reviewing violations of computer security procedures and discussing issues with security teams.
8 years of experience providing Oracle, MSSQL, and Postgres database support.
Preferred Experience:
- 5 years of experience working with Archer GRC, Dynatrace, Splunk, Imperva Web Application Firewall, Qualys, and MS Office tools.
- 5 years of experience training staff on network and information security procedures, processes, and safeguarding information.
- 2 years of experience with ITIL methodology-ticketing using Remedy and ServiceNow.
