Salary Range:
$17.50 To $17.50 Hourly
The Data Entry Specialist is responsible for performing data entry functions pertaining to information to maintain database(s) through various database software programs. This position will exercise considerable independent judgment in planning, scheduling, and conducting the necessary work to maintain a quality management system. Document all actions into database systems supporting the contract; furnish data and reports as required; and initiate follow-up action to ensure timely delivery of repaired items, procedures, and procurement policies. Other responsibilities also include data capture and analysis to enhance business opportunities and marketplace understanding while adhering to good programming practices and required security standards.
- Perform data entry using word processing, spreadsheet for database commands and formats material as required.
- Implement tools and facilitate text formatting, file conversion and transfer.
- Assist with interactive project databases and applications adjunct to the Quantum database.
- Assist with informal instruction to users on software capabilities, setting features, locating data and resources, and using applications.
- Accurately verifies and enters information.
- Review discrepancies in data received, request clarification or advise a supervisor of issues related to data and perform data verification.
- Follow-up phone calls to vendors/suppliers as required.
- Track expedited orders and provide updates to the Program Manager.
- Ensure all documentation is filed correctly, electronically and/or paper.
- Provide support and data for repair and return program administrative purposes and in support of the ISO certification as directed by the Program Manager.
- Provide the highest possible quality of products and services to satisfy customer needs and requirements.
- Perform database processing for receipt, invoicing and shipping of equipment/parts.
- Review completed files to verify accurate documentation.
- Respond to customers and employees on quality issues.
- Manage and maintain a comprehensive document control system within the division.
- Implement corrective and preventative action plans in accordance with ISO 9001:2008.
- Responsible for converting PDFs to Excel, downloads from various websites, Quantum uploads, formatting Ad-Hoc lists and conversion of data as requested.
- Other duties assigned at the discretion of management.
Education
- High School Diploma required.
Experience
- A working knowledge of Adobe Suite, Outlook, Excel, MS Word is required.
- Experience with Quantum (Component Control) a plus.
License, Cert or Registration
- Current driver’s license
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to obtain security clearance enabling access to various government facilities.
