OVERVIEW
Manages and supports all field timekeeping and payroll staff within the Division, to ensure optimal performance. The Supervisor, Wage & Time Administration will ensure that all staff reporting to him/her are properly trained and will be responsive to all employee issues as the emerge. The Supervisor, Wage & Time Administration shall ensure that time records are maintained in a manner that is compliant with Company policies, State and Federal law, and applicable collective bargaining agreements. Review of time records, error detection, the weekly processing of the Kronos Connect file, processing of payroll adjustments, and PTO audits, as needed, shall form the basis for a high level of customer service to all company employees. Collaboration with Corporate Payroll staff is integral to an effective payroll process. The Supervisor, Wage & Time Administration will monitor all operations and timekeepers to ensure compliance with national policies and procedures and will report inconsistencies to the National Workforce Director and/or National Payroll Director.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
• Supervise and manage daily operation of the Divisional timekeeping / payroll department, ensuring adherence to all timekeeping / payroll policies, works with the Payroll Director and National Workforce Director to establish policy changes or system enhancements.
• Knowledge of payroll accounting, multi-state operations and labor laws in each state within the Division.
• Knowledge of all union contracts in the regional area and identifying setup errors in the Kronos timekeeping system based on set contracts.
• Ensure adherence to all union contracts, government contracts and labor laws.
• Provide payroll records and wage calculations for Department of Labor audits.
• Research all Kronos related issues and submit change request orders to the National Workforce Director.
• Approve all manual check requests forms submitted by timekeepers, and forward to the Corporate Payroll department for payment.
• Review and approve all PTO audits and balance reset forms, adjust balances accordingly after appropriate approvals and documentation is completed.
• Audit Kronos system tables and data structures for accuracy.
• Process Kronos Connect files at the close of each week.
• Provide a high level of customer service to all areas of the company to ensure inquiries and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Reviews, approves, or rejects for correction all pay related Oracle MSS notifications based on policies and wage scales.
• Develop procedures regarding field payroll input and reporting.
• Educate and train field associates, employees, and timekeeping / payroll staff within the division on payroll procedures and policies.
• Work with HR to enhance workplace guidelines as well as business policies and procedures and ensure notification to proper employees.
• Mentor employees, cross train, conduct performance evaluations if applicable, counsel and provide disciplinary actions to assigned personnel with a goal of developing a team-oriented approach with positive results. Assist in driving performance management. Comply with all employment laws and support affirmative action/equal opportunity and diversity goals.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:
• Five years of payroll experience required, some prior supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll accounting and multi-state operations
• Experience with timekeeping systems
• Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office products

Education:
• High School Diploma or GED
Desired:
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP)
Skills:
• Ability to analyze output and handle high stress situations
• Must be extremely knowledgeable in bookkeeping and auditing
• Excellent interpersonal and communications skills with all levels of employees and management
• Available for travel and emergency and high impact situations
