Broadridge is hiring! We are seeking a contract, overnight Proofreader to join our dynamic team in Operations Quality. In this role, you will work with client facing and internal Composition teams to check the accuracy of all documents received for conversion and revision. You will use your strong attention to detail to mark any errors that need to be corrected.

This position is a contract role expected to last 12 months with the possibility of extension. The work hours are overnight 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM ET, Monday - Friday, with some overtime. This is a remote role where you will work off-site. Travel is limited and generally used for team learning and collaboration meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Perform a full quality check on various types of financial documents at the time of creation, as well as after various changes from the client, before they are filed with the SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission) and/or printed
- Compare converted documents to the original documents received from the client, ensuring that the text matches
- Proofread and verify that spelling, grammar, style, and alignment are correct and consistent throughout (including job numbers, page numbers, headings, etc.)
- Make sure all logos are correct and of the highest quality
- Mark identified changes directly on the printed PDF proof
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience in Proofreading is preferred, or a degree in English or similar field
- High level of skill in written English including spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Self-motivated to work efficiently and meet deadlines
- Ability to stay focused throughout an entire document, which may be long and technical
- Good interpersonal skills to build working relationships with co-workers and internal clients
- Confidence with computers and a strong command of Microsoft Office Suite
- Comfortable working with high-volumes, and capable of maintaining a fast pace
- Ability to work flexible working hours during seasonal periods
The compensation rate for this position is $22.00 per hour. Broadridge considers various factors when evaluating a candidate's final salary including, but not limited to, relevant experience, skills, and education.
