Responsibilities
Role Purpose
The Solution Architect strategically designs and implements complex technology solutions that meet business requirements that are fully aligned with enterprise and domain architecture guidelines.
Functional Responsibilities
- Proficient in producing architectures and designs leveraging pre-established design patterns and defined best practices for low to moderate technological and business function complexity and seeks assistance when needed.
- Responsible for determining and selecting appropriate design patterns leveraging pre-established architecture standards where possible proposes the need for new standards to meet business requirements.
- Provides technical expertise and direction for the development of complex hardware and software projects.
- Assists with decisions based on the highest degree of technical complexity and thorough understanding of the implications across the organization.
- Translates application and end user system requirements into technical requirements.
- Analyzes and solves complex problems, making recommendations as needed, applying creative, in-depth technical and theoretical knowledge.
- Defines strategies for networking, server platform, desktop services, and security required to support relevant technical environments.
- Leads orientation and planning review sessions with the local Information Technology project managers.

- Knowledge of the systems architecture used consistently within or across the organization or enterprise.

- Shows understanding of the concept and usefulness of foundation architecture in the development and deployment of software and hardware; integrates tasks with foundational architecture.
- Understanding and adoption of the TOGAF Framework. Applies architecture principles.
- Uses relevant tools and techniques in their own work area.
- Provides guidance on the standards and guidelines to members of the development community.
- Consults with development project teams in the design of the fundamental hardware and software that provides the infrastructure on which applications are developed and run.
- Applies the evaluation criteria used for the selection of hardware, software and tools.
- Ensures the completeness (Fit for purpose) of the architecture in ensuring pertinent requirements of stakeholders is inclusive.
- System Development Life Cycle Knowledge
- Applies knowledge of how technology solutions process through life cycle phases of requirements analysis, solution design, development, testing, deployment and decommission.
- Performs required tasks for one or more phases of the SDLC. Prepares status updates on how work is progressing through a phase.
- Provides complete and accurate handoffs to others who are responsible for subsequent phases of work.
- Meets project plan expectations and participates in resolving handoff issues. Coordinates required tasks for one or more phases of the SDLC. Consolidates status updates and resolves handoff issues or other problems.
- Makes suggestions for shared tools, documentation standards and methodology.
- Ability to plan and account for impacts of system development efforts across architecture system components, critical business processes, data and applications.
- Conceptualizes the impact of changes to system platforms, as a result of system acquisition, system merger, or implementation of enterprise wide solutions.
- Investigates the critical relationships between primary business, technology, and system platforms. Devises approaches that recognize the interdependencies of the key system components.
- Researches the critical and underlying relationships between primary business, technology, and systems platforms. Devises approaches that integrate system components.
- Improves the organizational performance through the application of original thinking to existing and emerging methods, processes, products and services.
- Employs sound judgment in determining how innovation will be deployed to produce return on investment.

Complexity of Work

Qualifications: Education and Work Experience
- 5 years of experience strongly preferred.
- 1 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
- Healthcare provider industry experience is required
- Clinical Imaging technology experience (radiology, cardiology, etc.) required within application such as Merge PACS/CPACS/EA, Change Healthcare PACS/CPACS, Powerscribe 360, RapidAI, Viewpoint, Merge Hemo, GE Cardiolab
Requirements
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency with 3 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Bachelor's degree with 2 years of cumulative experience OR 7 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. - 3 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
