Setup Tasks:
- Ensure user permissions are setup properly
- Organize Chart of accounts based on predetermined categories and department
- Setup Groupings for Income Statements based on categories and departments
- Setup opening balance journal properly
- Determine need for tax rates setup for international clients
- Setup Invoice Templates for different service offerings
- Determine if there is an appropriate payment options that does not charge us or charges credit card user
- Setup Email templates for invoicing (alias)
- Ensure bank feeds/import process is properly setup
- Setup receipt process in Hubdocs
- Create Tracking Categories for reporting (if needed)
- Create Finance Overview Documentation for future staff to carry on where you left off
Ongoing Tasks:
- Monthly Reconciliation and general maintenanceΒ
- Ongoing/Ad-Hoc Financial reporting/projections (bonus points)
Other notes:
- Service based business (no products)
- Long deal cycles, with time based liabilities associated with our revenue (want input on best practices)
- Want input on financial reporting best practices
