We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Vulnerability Analyst to join our cybersecurity efforts at Global Payments. You will help with identifying, assessing, and mitigating vulnerabilities across our systems and applications. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in vulnerability management, threat analysis, and risk assessment. This role requires a strong understanding of security frameworks and network technology, as well as the ability to communicate complex security issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include performing vulnerability assessments, managing vulnerability scanning tools, analyzing security incidents, and providing guidance on vulnerability and false positive remediation. A proactive approach to staying current with emerging threats and trends in cybersecurity is essential.

Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science or 5 years of hands-on experience in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in vulnerability management, cybersecurity, or information security roles.
- Proven experience with Tenable products, such as Nessus or Tenable IO, Tenable SC
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of vulnerability assessment methodologies and tools.
- Proficiency in conducting vulnerability scans, interpreting results, and prioritizing remediation efforts.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and reporting.
- Knowledge of network security, application security, and cloud security practices.
Certifications:
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or Certified Vulnerability Assessor (CVA) are highly desirable but not required.
Analytical Skills:
- Ability to analyze complex security issues and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Experience in preparing reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.
Team Collaboration:
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team and across departments.
- Experience in project management and leading initiatives to improve vulnerability management processes.
