Position Summary
The Catering & Events Specialist is a key contributor to the success of Omakase Restaurant Group. They are responsible for catering set-up, deliveries, as well as marketing initiatives through a combination of administrative support and management of special events and projects. • Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
• Full-time; (days are flexible), minimum 40-45 hours per week.
• This position requires a flexible schedule with holidays, weekends, and some evening work.
• Essential Functions
• Manage, coordinate, organize, and execute catering events and special offsites.
• Provide administrative support to the team, effectively managing the event calendar and team coordination.
• Assist client with menu selections and collaborate with the management team on presentation and execution
• Conduct site visits with potential clients, provide vendor details, and design logistics for events such as precise floor plans, A/V setups, and extensive wine and tasting menus
• Schedule appropriate staffing for each event; review the timing of setup, breakdown, and each round of food with all staff members
• Finalize deposits and payments for all events; keep the office informed of payment details
• Maintain ongoing communication with the Catering Manager and Operations Team.
• Review all catering details including delivery, event set up, service, and breakdown with the Catering Manager; check for set-up requirements daily and for the rest of the week
• Check storage area daily to maintain organization and inventory levels; perform monthly inventory on all catering equipment and ensure equipment is in good and safe working order
• Transport heavy equipment throughout the property moving equipment and tables when necessary
• When necessary, pick up / drop off items and run errands as needed for restaurants.
• Assist in operational flow during busy restaurant hours as needed
• Attend exclusive VIP events and market the brand to potential clients
Qualifications
• Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize, and follow-up
• Problem-solving skills; ability to think on your feet and under pressure while maintaining a positive outlook
• Ability to work as part of a team or independently; initiates projects instead of waiting for instruction
• Triple Seat Experience preferred
• Be well-groomed at all times.
• Background in restaurants or hospitality
• Excellent interpersonal skills, and communication proficiency, both written and verbal
• Must be flexible and able to handle last-minute changes; ability to multitask.
• California Food Handler's Card
• Driver's License and clean driving record

The Catering & Events Specialist must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and be able to work in a sitting position for long periods of time.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
