AvalonBay Communities will be opening a brand new satellite office in San Antonio by mid-April 2024. This position will be a remote work-from-home role until the office opens, at which time all associates will be on a hybrid in-office/work-from-home schedule.
The Role

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for all day-to-day tasks related to customer account administration within AvalonBay’s inbound call center. This includes, but is not limited to, detailed account research, payment processing, requesting charge credits and debits, and basic assistance with company websites. Associates are also responsible for resolving customer inquiries and issues. Work schedule is typically four weekdays from 11:15am to 8:30pm EST and Saturdays from 12:00pm to 5:00pm EST.
• Professionally service Frontline and Payment calls while providing stellar customer service and a positive experience for the resident.
• Actively participate in coaching, training, and personal development while visible on camera while working from home.
• Maintain shift schedule requirements to ensure phone queue is supported per the associate’s schedule. Attendance and punctuality to the shift schedule is critical.
You Have...
Minimum Qualifications:
• 1-3 years of customer service experience providing above average service required.
• Strong English verbal and written communication required.
• Math skills required. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Strong organizational skills required. Ability to multitask.
• Experience with data entry and excel required. Must be able to navigate between several systems simultaneously.
• Previous remote work experience preferred.
• Call center experience preferred.
• A high school diploma or equivalency (GED)
Must meet minimum Internet speed requirements of 25mbps upload and download hardwired. Wifi is not allowed. These are the network requirements order to work remotely.
