Claremont is growing and we're looking to add an Executive Housekeeper to our team in Arlington, Massachusetts! This role is responsible for supervising the Housekeeping department, operations and personnel and we would love to add you to our team!
Responsibilities:
• Directly supervise multiple non-supervisory employees including suite inspectors, suite attendants, housemen and laundry personnel
• Interview, onboard, train, and schedule department personnel to ensure the department is appropriately staffed
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere that promotes stellar employee, guest and customer satisfaction
• Develop incentive programs to enhance individual and department performance
• Conduct all department personnel performance appraisals
• Plan and distribute work assignments for the department
• Inspect premises, guest suites, linen rooms, guest laundry, employee lounge and public areas to assure quality standards of housekeeping are being maintained.
• Maintain purchase records and participate in the preparation and control of all budgeted line expenses to optimize bonus potential and department performance.
• Conduct monthly inventory of linens, uniforms, laundry supplies, kitchen items, small appliances, paper products and other suite supplies and reorder as needed
• Develop and maintain vendor file program
• Maintain guest request/complaint log
• Coordinate checkout and room status with front desk, work orders with Maintenance and meeting room needs with Sales
• Participate in MOD program
• Clean suites as needed
• Carry out any reasonable request by management.

Requirements
• 1-3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with handling employee relations issues and resolving guest complaints
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be able to handle difficult guest or employee situations in a tactful manner
• Proficient in the use of common Windows-based computer programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Ability to operate basic office machines, i.e., copier, fax, printer, etc
• Flexibility in hours and days worked
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to respond to inquiries from groups of managers, coworkers, vendors and guests
• Experience with hospitality industry software a plus
