• Execution and management of catered events at different venues across campus
• Manage and assist with setup of functions of varied sizes and scope, delegate service staff, and work closely with sales team and culinary staff to ensure maximum possible guest experience
• Prepare all buffet labels and signage to identify food and beverage items and communicate with kitchen staff to be ready prior to event
• Facilitate the delivery of prepared food and set up of events crafted from banquet event orders (BEO’s), hold pre-event meetings, and assign specific functions to event staff while monitoring throughout the assigned event
• Requisition liquor for all events with alcohol service while maintaining proper controls & compliance and follow all state liquor laws
• Act as liaison between sales manager and the client by meticulously ensuring the setup and execution of catered events meets the required catering standards
• Respond to guests needs in a timely manner. Communicate problems/convey to your Direct Supervisor
• Assist in the service of functions as required
• Supervise and assist with the break down after the completion of functions to ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly stored
• Prepare accurate post-event reports such as alcohol compliance, bar consumption, safety policies and event recaps
• Assist in office duties that include responsibilities such as linen orders, alcohol orders, safety, and sustainability.

Qualifications
• Requires at least 2 years of experience
• Prior experience in a management or supervisory role preferred
• Previous experience in events, hospitality and catering preferred
• Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Available to work event-based hours
• Must have excellent communications skills
• Complete Food Handlers and Alcohol Service Certifications as required
• Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
