Greek Boys Choice Foods, Inc. is a food manufacturer and packaging facility located in Tarpon Springs Florida. We are expanding our operations and looking to hire a full time, dependable and self-motivated maintenance technician. Job duties include but are not limited to:
• Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment
• Repair all production equipment as needed ... • Perform breakdown analysis
• Perform general housekeeping
• Upgrade production lines with new equipment/technology
• Work with outside contractors working on assigned line
• Change line for package changeovers
• Comply with GMP, safety, and audit standards
• Work independently under limited supervision (self-management)
• Documentation of work schedule and work tasks completed
Experience:
• Experience with mechanical systems (e.g., gear boxes, chains, sprockets, motors, seals, bearings).
• Experience with product manuals (e.g., reading and applying knowledge to make repairs).
• Experience with troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns (pinpointing and fixing breakdowns).
• Experience with reading mechanical drawings (e.g., hydraulics, pneumatics).
Working Condition & Physical Requirements
• Typical motions include repetitive hand and arm movements, repetitive grasping, lifting, bending, and reaching.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures
• Will be required to spend the majority of time on his/her feet and stand or walk without a break for up to 4 hours
• Responsible for moving or lifting an average of 10-60 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 60 pounds
• Ability to use tools and equipment, including knives, ladders, step stool and box cutters.
