The General Laborer is responsible for supporting daily cultivation and processing operations. General Laborers are responsible for maintaining clean facility environments as well as removal and disposal of operational waste.
Rate is $15/hour Monday - Friday with mandatory OT and weekends when necessary ... Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and processes accurately.
• Manage their workload efficiently to meet goals and consistently maintain facility standards.
• Maintain up-to-date work shift responsibilities on logs and inform direct supervisor of any changes.
• Clean and sterilize equipment and workspaces.
• Clean, sterilize, and prepare plant rooms before and after use.
• Daily cleaning tasks may include removing waste/equipment, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning walls and floors with chemicals, changing filters, shredding/mulching plant waste, etc.
• Operate a handheld drill for an extended period.
• Safely operate heavy machinery (i.e. plant waste shredder).
• Transport waste to outdoor disposal area in all weather conditions.
• Work within company continuous improvement system and strive to increase productivity.
• Provide support to additional cultivation, harvest, and production teams as needed to achieve facility production goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Able to follow detailed instruction and capable of performing repetitive tasks.
• Must have a positive attitude and work well with others in a team environment.
• Comfortable with heights, soil and water, and tight spaces.
• Comfortable working outdoors and in hot, cold, humid, or wet environments.
• Comfortable working in protective gear possibly including scrubs, gloves, long sleeves and pants, hair/beard nets, face masks or respirators.
• Ability to safely climb, squat, bend, twist, kneel and stand for at least 8 hours per day, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be 21 years of age or older and able to successfully register with the state’s cannabis commission as an agent.
• Must comply with all laws, regulations, and policies associated with the industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Previous experience in manufacturing, packaging, and/or warehouse is a plus.
Physical and Mental Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 50 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus. Working Environment:
Work is performed in a warehouse environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
