Join our dynamic multidisciplinary team at TELUS Health's Downtown Vancouver Centre, where you'll provide evidence-based clinical nutrition care to diverse clients managing chronic conditions including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and metabolic health challenges. This is a 12-month full-time temporary role—perfect for clinicians looking to build experience in a high-impact setting or explore a new clinical environment.
Over the next 12 months, you'll establish meaningful client relationships, develop impactful nutrition education resources, and integrate seamlessly with our team of physicians, nurses, mental health professionals, and other healthcare specialists to deliver comprehensive, coordinated care. You'll develop and deliver nutrition education programs that extend beyond one-on-one counseling to group seminars and community education initiatives. What you'll do
- Screen patient charts and review relevant laboratory data prior to appointments to ensure comprehensive client assessments
- Conduct thorough nutritional histories and analyze food intake against nutritional requirements across the lifespan
- Translate scientific and medical information into practical, individualized nutrition goals and counseling for clients with diverse health concerns
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, mental health professionals, and other specialists to develop and implement optimal nutrition care plans that integrate with overall client treatment
- Develop and deliver nutrition education resources regularly—including monthly lunch-and-learn seminars and individualized client education materials—to support client learning and behavior change
- Assess potential nutrient, supplement, and drug interactions to ensure safe and effective nutrition recommendations
- Document assessments, plans, and progress in client medical records with attention to detail and accuracy
- Manage a varied caseload with clients at different stages of their nutrition journey, requiring flexibility in scheduling and responsiveness to clinical needs
