Business Development Manager, StarPro — New York City & Westchester County, NY
Full-Time | Field-Based Role
Base Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 (commensurate with experience)
Total Compensation: Includes performance-based incentives / bonus

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving patient referral growth for StarPro Physical Therapy across the New York City and Westchester markets. This role builds and strengthens relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, and community partners to expand market share and support strategic growth initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Develops and maintains strong referral relationships with physicians and key healthcare providers
- Conducts regular outreach and in-person meetings to strengthen partnerships and ensure service expectations are met
- Identifies and pursues new referral opportunities through proactive outreach and lead generation strategies
- Collaborates with operational leadership and clinical teams to support program development and market expansion
- Monitors referral trends and responds with targeted strategies to drive growth
- Executes sales strategies and initiatives aligned with organizational goals
- Maintains accurate and timely reporting, including daily activity tracking, quarterly analyses, and performance insights
- Partners with internal teams to develop initiatives that enhance relationships with physicians, therapists, and allied health professionals
- Supports community engagement efforts to increase brand awareness and referral volume
- Acts as a liaison between StarPro and referral sources to ensure clear communication and alignment on services
- Assists with new clinic openings to establish and grow referral networks
- Represents the organization at events, conferences, and industry meetings
- Creates opportunities for clinician engagement with key referral partners
- Performs additional duties as assigned
What You Bring
- 3–5 years of sales or business development experience required
- Healthcare, orthopedic, or physical therapy industry experience preferred
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent organization, time management, and prioritization skills
- Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
Work Environment & Requirements
- Primarily field-based role supporting the Westchester, Bronx, and Connecticut markets
- No fixed office location; majority of work is conducted on-site with referral sources and in the community
- Remote work is required for administrative responsibilities (reporting, planning, communication)
- A designated home office location will be assigned for payroll purposes only; no regular on-site reporting required
