Position Overview
As the Executive Vice President (EVP), Tax & Treasury, you will be responsible for the global tax strategy, capital structure, liquidity management, and treasury operations of a publicly traded, international beverage company. This executive will oversee global tax planning and compliance, debt and capital markets strategy, and cash management.
The EVP will play a critical role in optimizing capital allocation, managing public company obligations, supporting international growth, and ensuring regulatory compliance in complex global markets.

- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA, MST or JD/LLM (Taxation) strongly preferred.
- Experience: 15+ years of progressive tax and treasury leadership experience.
- Significant experience within a publicly traded, multinational organization.
- Deep expertise in international tax structuring and compliance.
- Beverage, CPG, or manufacturing industry experience preferred.
- Experience managing operations across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.
- Core competencies including Global Tax Optimization, Public Company Governance, Financial Risk Management, Executive Presence, Cross-Border Operational Complexity and Change Leadership & Team Development.
- Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will include Effective Tax Rate (ETR) optimization, Liquidity coverage and cash flow predictability, Debt covenant compliance and leverage ratios, Credit rating stability/improvement, Working capital efficiency, SOX and regulatory compliance, and Treasury cost of capital metrics.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive global tax strategy aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee worldwide tax compliance, reporting, and planning across all jurisdictions.
- Manage U.S. federal, state, and international tax matters, including transfer pricing, VAT/GST, customs, and indirect tax.
- Lead tax provision and ASC 740 reporting for SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q).
- Optimize effective tax rate (ETR) while ensuring full regulatory compliance.
- Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
- Monitor and advise on global tax reform, OECD initiatives (e.g., BEPS, Pillar Two), and evolving international tax regulations.
- Support M&A transactions, divestitures, and structuring initiatives.
- Lead enterprise-wide liquidity strategy, cash forecasting, and working capital optimization.
- Oversee global cash management, including multi-currency operations and repatriation strategies.
- Develop and execute debt strategy, including Public bonds, Revolving credit facilities, Term loans, and Commercial paper programs.
- In partnership with CFO, manage relationships with rating agencies, banks, and capital markets partners.
- Lead refinancing efforts, covenant compliance, and debt reporting.
- Oversee capital allocation framework in partnership with CFO and Board (dividends, share repurchases, debt paydown, growth investments).
- Support investor relations messaging related to capital structure and tax positioning.
- Assist in foreign exchange (FX), interest rate, and commodity hedging strategies.
- Ensure robust internal controls over treasury and tax processes (SOX compliance).
- Establish and maintain treasury systems and banking infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with SEC, GAAP/IFRS, and stock exchange reporting requirements.
- Partner with Legal and Accounting on disclosures related to tax, liquidity, and debt.
- Prepare materials for Audit Committee and Board of Directors.
- Present capital markets strategy and tax outlook to executive leadership and the Board.
- Lead and develop a high-performing global tax and treasury organization.
- Drive process automation, technology modernization, and data analytics initiatives.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Operations, and International business units.

The base salary range for this position is dependent on experience and location. The final offer will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, and qualifications. This position may be eligible for other compensation, including bonuses and Restricted Stock Units (subject to company plans).
