TRC Talent Solutions is looking for a Generator Service Technician for our client in Smyrna, GA
OVERVIEW: TRC Talent Solutions is seeking a skilled Generator Service Technician to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on standby and prime-power generator systems. In this role, you will troubleshoot equipment, provide both routine and emergency service, and deliver repair recommendations that ensure reliability, safety, and customer satisfaction. You will work closely with other technicians and support teams to complete scheduled and unscheduled service work efficiently and professionally. Compensation is based on experience and technical skill level.
Job Details:
- Pay Range: $35/hr. - $45/hr.
- Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Service, diagnose, repair, and rebuild standby power generators.
- Perform failure analysis, emergency field service, and on-site repairs for customers.
- Work on a wide range of generator and power generation equipment brands.
- Operate, maintain, and manage company service trucks, tools, and onboard parts inventory.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair all supporting systems, including fuel, cooling, and electrical systems.
- Operate load banks and accurately record diagnostic and performance data.
- Stay current with product updates, technical specifications, and industry best practices.
- Complete all work in accordance with safety procedures, quality standards, and Pathfinder Power Solutions’ service expectations.
- Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams regarding service findings, recommendations, and equipment status.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience servicing generators ranging from approximately 10 kW to 1,500 kW.
- EGSA Certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, circuitry, diesel engines, and generator controls.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Proficiency using computers and software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex generator and engine issues.
- Excellent communication skills and strong customer-service mindset.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a technical team.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to meet company driver requirements.
