Responsibilities
The Resource Group, a subsidiary of Ascension, is a business transformation services organization that specializes in resource and supply chain management. This internship is in partnership with Marian Middle School and Ascension where high school interns participate in an immersive experience learning about The Resource Group and Ascension. During the experience, interns gain insight into our communities by collaborating with team members, shadowing meetings, and supporting projects when possible and have an opportunity to focus on building skills in areas like executive presence, business operations, organizational development, and
business ethics through presentations, workshops, and connecting with senior leaders. Information about the responsibilities for this internship can be found below:
- Shadow, participate, and prepare for meetings to gather information and provide weekly reports to managers and executives
- Support and and take direction from The Resource Group community facilitators to complete ad hoc projects
- Draft professional resume and participate in a review and revision process throughout the internship, culminating in a final draft review and discussion with The Resource Group executive leadership
- Develop professional skills for job preparation such as meeting engagement, calendar management, and project coordination
- Display willingness to work in a team environment, adaptability to change, and an openness to trying different approaches to problem solving
Requirements
Education:
- Candidates between the ages of 16-18 years old must be actively enrolled in a High School Diploma Equivalency program.
