The North Dakota Health & Human Services is seeking a detailed-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable Specialist to support the agency’s Rural Transformation Grand funding. You will play a key role in ensuring rural healthcare payments are entered accurately and approved while supporting services that matter to North Dakotans.
As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be the subject-matter expert on all payments related to Rural Transformation grant. You will routinely review invoices and payment request vouchers to ensure grant funds have been entered correctly and signatures or approvals are in place. When discrepancies are identified, you will research and resolve inquiries and conduct final approval to ensure compliance and accuracy. You will also provide backup support to other members of the Accounts Payable team and assist with special projects, as needed.

You will apply sound judgment to resolve discrepancies and use strong communication skills to work effectively with internal team members, vendors, and federal agency staff. Most importantly, you must be highly motivated with strong time management skills to consistently meet reporting deadlines.

Location: ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model. This position may work remotely from within North Dakota with the ability to travel to Bismarck, ND as needed.
