Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking to add a Client Advocate position to our Chivaroli team! The Client Advocate will provide various technical and administrative support to Senior Managers and other Chivaroli staff members including creating insurance related documentation to be presented to insurance carriers, clients, and prospects, binding documents and proposal, processing insurance certificates, answering phones, and other various duties as requested.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide administrative and technical support to the Chivaroli team including but not limited to faxing, filing, copying, answering phones, editing, formatting and proofreading documents
- Answer incoming phone calls in a prompt and professional manner
- Project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction
- Input quotation information, formatting, and binding proposals
- Converse with clients and insurance carrier representatives regarding policy renewals, policy amendments, coverage terms and conditions, certificate of insurance and other insurance related matters
- Complete various analysis projects as assigned
- Update and maintain policy information in agency management system
- Develop a foundation of knowledge regarding the insurance industry in general, specific coverage lines offered by the Company, as well as the Company’s unique business practices and procedures
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management, President, or other team members
Qualifications
Education/Certifications:
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
- Valid California Property & Casualty License.
- Basic understanding of business service functions.
- Previous office or customer service experience required.
- Prior insurance experience is required.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Excellent customer service, verbal communication, and listening skills and the ability to deal effectively across all levels of the business organization.
- Excellent written and email correspondence skills.
- Ability to maintain a professional and courteous relationship with all employees, clients, and clients' vendors.
- Well-organized and attentive to detail.
- Ability to use PC, printer, scanners, phones, and basic business equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 software including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and within a team to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Strong ability to learn new, varied skills and activities.
- Demonstrates considerable tact, diplomacy, discretion, and judgment with ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills to successfully prioritize daily workload.
