SUMMARY: Groundfloor’s Risk & Servicing Team is seeking a Loan Servicing Specialist who thrives in a dynamic environment and brings deep experience in property tax monitoring and loan servicing operations. Knowledge of insurance tracking and escrow management is a strong plus. The Loan Servicing Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that real estate taxes, property insurance coverage, and escrow accounts are properly managed across Groundfloor’s real estate loan portfolio. You’ll be responsible for keeping borrower accounts current, compliant, and accurately maintained throughout the lifecycle of each loan.

A DAY IN THE LIFE:
- Monitor and track real estate tax obligations for Groundfloor’s loan portfolio across multiple jurisdictions.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax payments for non-escrowed accounts to prevent penalties and delinquencies.
- Manage insurance tracking for borrower properties, ensuring coverage is maintained and premiums are paid on time.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Lending, Asset Management, Risk) to ensure seamless servicing across all accounts.
- Handle inbound and outbound communication via email and phone.
- Identify opportunities to automate and improve servicing processes.
YOUR EXPERIENCE + A FEW NICE TO HAVES:
Required Experience:
- Degree or relevant experience in Finance, Real Estate, or Banking a plus.
- 2+ years of loan servicing experience, with a focus on property tax payment and monitoring a plus.
- Strong understanding of escrow account management and insurance tracking a plus.
- Proficiency with loan servicing platforms, Excel/Google Sheets, and CRM tools.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience with construction or short-term real estate loans.
- Knowledge of force-placed insurance and loss draft procedures.
