Responsibilities
Audit patient registration documentation and billed charges for accuracy.
- Conduct audits of charges for consistency with medical record documentation.
- Assist with responding to patients' inquiries concerning the accuracy of billed charges and charge descriptions.
- Assist with responding to third-party payer inquiries and resolving billing disputes.
- Provide summary reports and analysis to hospital staff and management as required.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
