POSITION SUMMARY
The Training Analyst is responsible for gathering, compiling, and tracking training data to develop actionable steps that will improve processes and optimize results for the Training Departments. The incumbent will, with input from internal and external stakeholders, design and develop valid quantitative and qualitative data collection instruments; conduct research in both a cyclical and ongoing manner; perform analysis of collected data; and provide the Director of Training with data-driven training recommendations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & DUTIES
- Supports the Director of Training in the management of one or more aspects of a training unit and/or function.
- Acts as an administrative liaison between the Federal and Contractor personnel in support of the NTC training mission.
- Prepares, gathers, and formats information for internal and external distribution including writing memos, compiling data for reports, requests for action, and summarizing discussions at various meetings.
- Assists in the management, documentation, and maintenance of training softwares, initiatives, and accreditations.
- Arranges and coordinates meetings/working groups/development teams, schedules appointments, and maintains calendars to ensure there are no scheduling conflicts, deliverables are on-time, and materials are available.
- Assists with travel and accommodation arrangements.
- Assists in course administration and preparation activities for Director of Training owned curriculum.
- Coordinates with Enterprise-wide leadership and training points of contact to prioritize and initiate training activities.
- Assist with the NTC Training Needs Assessment.
- Provides annual reports to the Federal and Contractor staff in the area of training needs.
- Performs quantitative and qualitative analysis for the Director of Training.
- Work with senior management to present training recommendations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in participant experience, training and development, organizational development, or related fields, preferably within a government or large organizational setting.
- Must have background and experience in the systematic approach to training, training delivery technology platforms and techniques for modern adult learning, and performance management and continuous improvement practices and tools such as lean six sigma.
- Have demonstrated background and experience in data analysis tools and techniques to aide in the identification of potential or actual systemic training performance weaknesses and related opportunities for improvement.
- Advanced experience with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Able to obtain and maintain a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) card for access to a military installation.
EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Organizational Development, or a related field. 4 additional years of experience for a total of 9 years or more can be substituted for a degree.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with project management planning and scheduling tools are desirable.
- Department of Energy (DOE) experience is desired.
- Hands on experience with LeaderGuidePro
- Hands on experience with VISION Developer
WORKING CONDITIONS
- The position requires 100% on-site presence at the DOE NTC facility situated at Kirtland AFB, Albuquerque, NM. Remote work is not allowed.
