About the Position
We transform customer service into customer care by providing a flexible work-at-home culture that attracts people with a passion for caring. Our team is actively engaged in Disaster Recovery efforts for the California Wildfires. In this role you will be assisting individuals impacted by the devastating Major Disasters with completing the necessary application process for participation in the Financial Assistance Program for the American Red Cross. You will be reaching out to eligible individuals through outbound calls and fielding inbound inquiries from those who have received invitations to enroll.
Requirements
- MUST CURRENTLY RESIDE IN THE UNITED STATES NO EXCEPTIONS
- Legally able to work in the United States
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to communicate professionally
- Proper articulation, attention to detail and assertiveness required
- Excellent verbal communication skills including grammar and voice quality, tone and pitch
- Ability to remain poised under pressure
- Documentation, data entry, organization and problem-solving skills are imperative
- Ability to handle detailed work with a high degree of accuracy and speed
- Excellent written communication skills a must
- BILINGUAL SPEAKING FLUENT ENGLISH AND SPANISH PREFERRED
- Must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent
Training

- Orientation- Friday February 14, 2025
- Time: 10:00 am EST (30 minutes)
*orientation is followed by training which is a 4 hour training session on Friday February 14, 2025.
- Virtual instructor led training- Friday February 14, 2025
- Training time: 12:00pm EST to 4:00pm EST (4 hours)
All training is paid (orientation and live training are paid)
After all training is complete, you must start scheduling to work as early as Saturday February 15, 2025.
Pay Rate
- $15.00 per hour
- $15.50 per hour as a bilingual agent (must pass a fluency test)
- This is an IC position (1099 - temporary position)
- Paid once per month on the 10th of the month
Shifts
- Pick your own hours for a minimum of 20 up to 40 hours per week scheduled in 1-hour increments
- The call center is open 24/7, however our need is between 7am est and 11pm est and weekends (any overnight hours are covered and only available occasionally)
- Must work at least 4 hours across the weekend every other weekend
- Temporary position with the opportunity to turn permanent
- We are in need of agents to start IMMEDIATELY, if you can not start after training, working at least 3 hours on the 14th, and at least 7 hours over the following 48 hours after training has concluded, please do not apply
Technical Requirements
- Laptop or Desktop computer running Windows 10 or higher (no Windows 7 or 8.1). WE DO NOT SUPPORT MACs, Chromebooks, steaming laptops tops, or Tablet/iPads
- DSL or Cable internet (Wireless and Satellite are not compatible with our software)
- Current antivirus and antispyware
- Installed operational firewall
- High-speed internet connected to a US based ISP
- USB headset with microphone with mute button (No wireless, no jack)
- Google Chrome or Internet Explorer browser
