As a Category Development Manager you will play a key role in driving the growth of the energy category and the Celsius brand within targeted, strong regional retailers. This role reports to the Vice President, Category & Insights and involves close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Growth & Strategy teams to create and execute category development strategies. The ideal candidate will use data-driven insights to craft compelling stories that elevate the energy category, strengthen retailer relationships, and advance the company’s strategic objectives.
This is a remote role requiring 30%+ travel. Additional consideration will be given to candidates based in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Minneapolis, or Oklahoma City to better align with customers, role responsibilities, and business objectives. Candidates must reside near a major airport for ease of travel.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Category Growth: Partner with key internal stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that grow the energy category and Celsius’ share within Regional Key Accounts.
- Data-Driven Insights: Leverage syndicated data (e.g., IRI, Nielsen, or SPINS) and panel data to analyze market trends, consumer behaviors, and category performance. Use these insights to craft compelling, actionable recommendations for retailer partners and internal teams.
- Retailer Collaboration: Build and maintain strong relationships with targeted retailers by presenting data-backed insights and strategies that drive mutual growth. Act as the category expert and trusted advisor for these retail partners.
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Growth & Strategy teams to align category and brand objectives, ensuring consistent execution of strategies across all channels.
- Strategic Planning: Identify opportunities to optimize product placement, pricing, promotions, and assortment strategies to maximize sales and profitability.
- Travel: Represent Celsius Holdings, Inc. in face-to-face meetings with retailer partners and at industry events as needed (up to 30-50% travel required).
- Category Reporting: Develop regular reporting and dashboards to track category and brand performance, providing insights to leadership and internal teams to inform decision-making.
- Storytelling: Translate complex data into easy-to-understand narratives and visuals that resonate with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Minimum of 5+ years in category management, insights, or a related role within the consumer-packaged goods (CPG) industry. Experience in the beverage or energy drink category is a plus.
- Strong experience using syndicated and panel data tools such as Nielsen, IRI, SPINS, or Numerator to generate actionable insights.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 30-50% of the time. Proximity to a major airport is re-quired for ease of travel.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), strong interpersonal skills, and a results-oriented mindset.

Salary Range
$95,000 - $105,000 annually
The base pay range for this position is for a successful candidate within the state listed. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on multiple factors, such as work location, job-related knowledge, skills, qualifications, and experience. Celsius is a total rewards company. This position may be eligible for other compensation, including bonuses and Restricted Stock Units (subject to company plans).
