Are you a successful fundraiser who is passionate about nonprofit funding and organizational sustainability in the housing and homelessness space? RE!NSTITUTE seeks a strategic Fundraising Contractor to drive the development and management of our funder pipeline by sourcing opportunities aligned with our strategic priorities in housing and homelessness. The consultant will work with leadership and the CEO over the next six months to identify & secure new funding opportunities to help drive our programs in the US housing and homelessness sector. This is a US-based, remote opportunity.

Scope of Work
What you will be doing:
- Researching and Identifying Funder Opportunities
- Research & Identify opportunities for RE!NSTITUTE to increase its growth in the housing and homelessness sector via operational or programmatic grants
- Proactively research and manage a database to track funders, funding opportunities, potential grants, contracts, and requests for proposals
- Identify 3 to 4 opportunities each month and recommend the next steps to RE!NSTITUTE’s leadership
- Relationship Management & Donor Engagement
- Initiate contact with funders, managing the diary of the US HH Director and CEO to set up strategic calls
- Complete prospective funder research and briefing materials for funder calls and meetings and manage all correspondence and reporting to prospects.
- Join funding conversations and provide follow-up emails and materials
- Lead the writing, preparation, and submission of public, private foundation, and corporate letters of inquiry, proposals, and submissions, including drafting high-quality, creative, engaging cases for support, incorporating relevant research.
- Lead the identification, planning, and submission process for grant applications and proposals.

- Particular experience of securing funding in the housing and homelessness sector
- Existing relationships with foundations and donors
- Strong relationship-building and communication skills
- Excellent research and tracking capabilities
- Proficiency in creating compelling grant proposals
- Advanced organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with leadership and cross-functional teams

Timeline and Budget
RE!NSTITUTE has budgeted $30,000 for a 6-month contract, with the possibility of an extension. The contract is to start as soon as possible. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with the organizational team to ensure successful outcomes.

- Proposed deliverables in the six-month timeframe
- 3 references from clients for whom the contractor has performed a similar service.
