Position Summary:
The Development Operations Specialist (DOS) is responsible for processing, updating, and adjusting donor gifts and accounts to ensure accurate recording that represents the donor’s intent. This position works across multiple CRM and processing systems to ensure gifts end up accurately reflected in the database of record. Also ensuring that processing of all documents, correspondence, and payments is done in accordance with internal best practices, PCI and NACHA compliance, document handling procedures, audit, and financial controls.
Expected Compensation Range:$19 - $21/per hour. The exact hourly rate is determined by experience and education related to the role, organizational compensation structure, and internal equity.

Your Role:
- Process new gifts received from MPR/SCPR websites, direct mail, lockbox, third-party vendor websites, telemarketing files, vehicle donations, and payroll deductions.
- Manage monthly sustainer giving changes as requested by the donors.
- Adjust existing transactions as needed, such as refunds or gift coding updates.
- Process donor account changes generated by telemarketing, fund drives, mailings, and other activities.
- Handle Salesforce customer service requests from Member and Audience Services regarding donor records, payments, and pledges. This may include pledge/payment adjustments, cancellations, premiums, merges and other requests.
- Assist with data clean-up projects as needed.
- Complete other duties as needed to accomplish team goals.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years experience with gift/payment processing, database management, data entry experience, or other relevant experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong aptitude for learning new systems and processes.
- Ability to independently prioritize multiple tasks and complete work within deadlines.
- Ability to successfully communicate and work remotely with the team members located in different states and time zones.
- Strong service ethic and the ability to contribute to the overall quality of the Department.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Payment processing experience, especially in high-volume environments.
- Experience with database systems and/or CRMs
- Knowledge of the various aspects of nonprofit giving such as major gifts, donor-advised funds, acknowledgments, and premiums/thank-you gifts.
