In this essential role, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality and safety of online communities by moderating user-generated content across various social media platforms. You will play a crucial part in ensuring that content complies with community standards, promoting a positive and respectful environment for users worldwide. Responsibilities
- Monitor and evaluate user-generated content submitted to prominent social media platforms for compliance with community guidelines.
- Review posts, comments, and messages to ensure that they are appropriate and in accordance with platform policies.
- Identify and report instances of policy violations, including hate speech, misinformation, harassment, and other harmful content.
- Engage with users by addressing inquiries regarding moderation practices and community conduct.
- Collaborate with the moderation team to share insights and develop strategies that enhance content management practices.
- Document moderation actions thoroughly and maintain records of moderation trends and performance metrics.
- Stay informed about the latest trends, tools, and best practices in social media moderation.
- Fluency in English with strong writing skills; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
- Previous experience in content moderation or a related field preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate content comprehensively.
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills.
- Familiarity with popular social media platforms and relevant community guidelines.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote working environment.
