What we are looking for:
As a Scrum Master at Cambridge Brain Sciences, you will:
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily scrum, and sprint retrospectives.
- Develop and maintain appropriate communication channels, to ensure all team members are always in the know.
- Guide the team on how to use Agile/ Scrum practices and values.
- Facilitate discussion, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
- Refine and improve the quality of stories ensuring business value and acceptance criteria are clearly articulated.
- Manage scope creep and balance short-term requests from clients against their long-term needs as expressed by our product roadmap; in other words, prioritize and protect engineers from inevitable interferences in order to safeguard forecasts and timelines.
- Facilitate the identification and implementation of improvement strategies to increase productivity and quality of processes and deliverables.
- Ensure delivery of stories committed to for a sprint, including maintenance of momentum, upholding a sustainable pace of delivery, and tracking agile metrics to provide statistical proof of momentum and sustainability and evidence for making decisions during planning meetings.
- Understand long-term product roadmap plans, and use the roadmap to inform sprint plans that allow for quicker gains to benefit our end users.
- Ensure lightweight documentation is captured in our product vision statement, product backlog, product roadmap, story map, release plan, sprint backlog, and similar artifacts.
- Maintain compliance with relevant healthcare regulations such as HIPAA.
- Nurture strong relationships with all stakeholders on all teams, and in particular with the Product Owner.
- Partner with the Agile Coach and all members of our Technology team to share findings, best practices, and resources that help mature the organization’s Agile approach and our company-specific Agile framework. .
Some of the skills and experience we are looking for:
- 3+ years of experience as a scrum master , preferably working with SAAS applications.
- Familiarity with various software engineering practices, including source control, automated testing, and a task-based workflow.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to effectively present concepts to other team members.
- Ability to navigate life in an early-stage company: multi-task, reprioritize, perform multiple roles simultaneously, drive multiple projects forward in parallel while meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
- Strong knowledge of Atlassian products.
- Agile certifications are a plus.
