The accounting clerk is responsible for posting payable transactions, processing approved invoices, and verifying financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records. The accounting clerk protects AlignRx against unintentional overpayment and effectively monitors to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner. This role also provides other clerical support necessary for AlignRx for the finance department.
Essential Job Functions
- Process accounts payable invoices, including obtaining appropriate approval and timely input and payment of invoices.
- Follow company policy to vendor setups and changes.
- Assist in daily lockbox deposits, bank reconciliations, and record keeping.
- Support the company in optimizing its financial transactions and systems.
- Strengthen and grow relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely payment.
- Assist in streamlining and improving the accounts payable process.
- Assist in credit card invoices, approvals, and payments.
- Maintain financial records and files.
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
- Support 1099 maintenance and reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school graduate.
- One or more years’ experience in a business office environment or accounting.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
