Exciting times at Carenet Health as we grow our team in the Philippines! We are looking for a seasoned FACILITIES MANAGER who will oversee our new office soon!
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for the successful buildout and ongoing operational management of our real estate in the Philippines. This role includes planning, coordinating, and supervising construction and renovation projects, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring efficient and budget-compliant facility operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in real estate development and facilities management, with a strong focus on cost optimization, safety, and compliance.
Responsibilities
Project Management
- Oversee planning, design, and construction/renovation phases.
- Develop project timelines and budgets.
- Monitor construction/renovation progress and conduct site inspections.
- Manage procurement of materials and equipment.
- Ensure timely handover of spaces post-construction.
Coordination and Compliance
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with local safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits.
- Manage interactions with Occupational Safety and Health.
Operations and Maintenance
- Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of the facility.
- Manage and supervise facility staff.
- Monitor and manage maintenance schedules for building systems.
- Establish and manage vendor contracts for facility services.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and sustainability practices.
Communication and Issue Resolution
- Act as the primary point of contact for building/landlord issues.
- Communicate facility-related updates and changes to personnel.
- Resolve facility complaints and requests efficiently.
- Ensure all building operations adhere to local laws and industry standards.
Safety and Health
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular fire drills, safety audits, and risk assessments.
- Maintain up-to-date records of safety and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Civil Engineering, Real Estate Management, or related field.
Professional Experiences:
- At least 5-7 years of experience in facilities management, with significant experience overseeing construction/renovation projects.
- Proven experience in managing operational facilities, including building systems, vendor management, and cost control.
- Experience in large-scale commercial, industrial, or residential real estate projects.
- Familiarity with local contractors and vendors in the Philippines.
- Strong understanding of local building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations in the Philippines.
- Experience in project management, budgeting, and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.
Additional Skills and Certifications
- Knowledge of sustainability practices and energy management is a plus.
- Certification in Facility Management (e.g., IFMA, BOMA) is preferred.
Interpersonal and Technical Skills
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and foster collaboration.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in facility management software and tools.
