Sigma Defense is seeking a Solutions Architect that has technical expertise in tactical C5ISR systems, including the integration of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) and other sensor data into applications such as Team Awareness Kit (TAK) and a variety Unmanned Systems (UxS). The candidate must possess the ability to work collaboratively across different functions and have an understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) deployed operating environments. This expertise will enable the individual to cultivate strong relationships with customers and uncover new business opportunities in emerging technologies within the C5ISR, UxS, and CJADC2 sectors relevant to the DoD.
The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and demonstrate the ability to initiate tasks independently while also collaborating effectively within a team setting. They should be adept at engaging with and briefing DoD clients on a diverse range of technical subjects pertaining to C5ISR and CJADC2 technologies.

- 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of tactical communication systems, which includes commercial and military SATCOM, software-defined MESH radios, as well as various wireless and cellular network topologies.
- Strong knowledge and experience with TAK, and other related COT presentation tools.
- Familiarity and expertise in GIS and various Position Location and Identification (PLI) software to deliver Cursor on Target (COT) artifacts.
- Knowledge and experience in the integration of sensors and the dissemination of sensor data.
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience with UxS platforms.
- Proficient writing skills for the documentation of requirements, capture processes, and experiments.
- Strong oral presentation skills for team and solo customer engagements.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and excel in a collaborative team environment.
- Ability to independently research unfamiliar subjects for holistic inclusion and integration.
Personnel Clearance Level:
- Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active, DoD-issued Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain higher clearances.
- Clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.
Computer Software/Programs:
- Proficiency in both Linux and Windows applications.
Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive):
- Receive Comp TIA Security Plus within 120 days of hire.
- Programming, setup, and installation of various DoD and commercial communications systems.
- Configuring and installing TAK, ATAK, WINTAK, and related plug-ins on C5ISR systems.
- Configure systems to revive and integrate GIS and COT data.
- Employ virtual and physical networking solutions from Cisco, Microsoft, and other vendors, including routing, switching, and computing, along with security principles and practices.
- Design C5ISR tactical topologies to ingest, process, and share sensor and COT data.
- Facilitate engagements with DoD customers, while systematically documenting their requirements and identifying appropriate technical solutions.
- Provide customer support for C5ISR systems during experiments, exercises, and site visits.
- Collaborate in dynamic and diverse team-oriented environments.
- Clearly define and document the tactical communication needs for hosting edge sensor applications.
- Leverage Enterprise Services Operating Systems and Domain Administration tools in a Windows Server environment.
- Leverage VMware vSphere and ESX technologies, SolarWinds, and DameWare (remote management solutions).
- Conduct independent and collaborative research into unfamiliar systems and products as required and communicate ideas in both technical and non-technical language for internal and external use.
- Represent the Company as the Solutions Architect to government agencies, Industry, Academia, and other industry partners.
- Travel TDY as required.
Salary Range: $80,000 - $95,000 annually.
