We are seeking an experienced content writer who will create high-quality, engaging blog content while repurposing that content into strategic opportunities for organic social media and other marketing channels. Youβll play a key role in developing thought leadership, driving organic traffic, and enhancing the brandβs online presence across multiple platforms. Known for your sleeves-rolled-up-style, you are flexible, yet firm, ask the smart questions that reduce review cycles, and flow well in a fast-paced environment. You navigate and negotiate flawlessly among stakeholders, track and report well, and pivot priorities quickly with ease and grace.
What You'll Do
Content Creation: Write clear, concise, and engaging blog posts that align with BHGβs tone of voice, focusing on topics related to small business financing, business growth, lending, and other relevant areas.Research & Insights: Conduct thorough research to support blog content, including interviews, case studies, and relevant industry news, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Content Repurposing: Adapt blog content into a variety of formats (social media posts, infographics, email copy, video scripts, etc.) to maximize its reach and impact.SEO Optimization: Ensure all blog content is optimized for SEO, including keyword research, meta descriptions, and the integration of appropriate internal/external links.Social Media Strategy: Work closely with the social media team to align blog content with social media calendars, converting blog posts into engaging social content that drives brand awareness, engagement, and website traffic.Support Content Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing and content teams to develop and execute a cohesive content strategy that aligns with business objectives, ensuring consistency across blog posts, social media, and other content channels to drive engagement and conversions.Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about the latest social media trends, platforms, and content formats to continually enhance BHGβs organic content strategy.Cross-Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the design, social media, and product teams to ensure that content is on-brand and aligned with overall marketing initiatives.Content Performance: Analyze and report on the performance of content across blogs and social media, using data to optimize future content creation and distribution strategies.
What You'll Need
5-7 years of experience as a content writerPortfolio with video, scripting, blog, paid socialBachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, Communications or related fieldMUST HAVE experience in a Financial Services or FinTech β LendingCreativity, resourcefulness, flexibility, motivationSoftware experience with Adobe CS not required but Adobe InCopy is a plus, technology fluentKnowledge of AEM is a plusProven copywriting / editorial skills with outstanding command of the English languageA passion for writing and ability to produce creative, compelling copy on tight deadlinesExperience creating copy for a range of purposes and platformsKnowledge of the latest trends in marketing, particularly advertising and SEOWriting experience in financial services or healthcare industry preferredKnowledge of lead generation, marketing automation tools and strategiesProject management skills to manage schedules and deadlinesA willingness to embrace change and to adapt strategies on the fly
