Premier Disability Services is looking for Case Transition Specialists to join our growing Minneapolis, MN-based team! This is an entry-level role that will allow you to learn best practices and become familiar with effective communication practices.
About the Role: Receives, reviews, and records all SSA awards/payments in appropriate client files. Communicate with all customer accounts receivables regarding all collections and/or award questions (including but not limited to; clients, payment centers, SSA, and vendors).
Responsibilities:
- Receive and process awards.
- Notate client records.
- Make multiple follow-up calls to processing centers.
- The ability to manage your workflow and productivity in the workplace without reliance
- on a supervisor.
- Identify areas of learning needed to better manage client cases including SSA processes, documentation, interpretation, and application use (PCMS, Microsoft Office suite, Google Suite etc…)
- Work with others in the Hearing Department, Pre-Hearing Departments, and in the organization as needed
- Respond to phone calls as needed to answer questions for clients and on the client’s behalf
- Ensure appropriate staff are aware of all situations which may involve administrative errors
- Complete special projects and other assigned tasks
- Possess excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a direct customer contact position is preferred.
- Customer service orientation; energetic and outgoing personality.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to communicate professionally, effectively, and with empathy in potentially difficult circumstances.
- Multitasking skills and a detail-oriented focus are required.
- Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and adjust as needed in a fast paced environment
- Ability to achieve high productivity and quality standards.
- Proficient working knowledge of Windows OS, Internet, and associated software.
- BILINGUAL - English/Spanish a plus but not required.
